The equitable use of English and French before federal courts and administrative tribunals exercising quasi-judicial powers : SF31-37/1999
In addition to a review of constitutional and statutory provisions governing the use of English and French in federal adjudicative processes, the present study has endeavoured to identify and assess all written policies and rules of practice of a linguistic nature relevant to the operations of federal courts and quasi-judicial tribunals selected for the purposes of this study. Questionnaires were developed and distributed to judges and adjudicators, as well as their administrative staffs, with a view to gathering information about language policies and practices not necessarily reflected in written documents.--Page 10
