This document entails the results of experimental studies, historical data analyses, and observations to assess the potential for the transfer of non-indigenous species (NIS) on cultured shellfish. Though the work focuses on the movement of cultured bivalves, the stages of the invasion process, study results, and mitigation measures discussed are relevant to the transfer of all shellfish whether it is cultured, used for monitoring programs, or part of a wild commercial fishery.
