Evaluation is vital for improving the planning, operations, impact and cost-effectiveness of HIV/AIDS-related projects in Canada. The Canadian Strategy on HIV/AIDS (CSHA) has long promoted evaluation and the purpose of this Building Knowledge synthesis evaluation is to: understand what has been learned about the outcomes, impact and cost effectiveness of HIV/AIDS-related projects in Canada and to consider how these support the CSHA logic model; and to understand what these evaluations indicate about appropriate methodologies for evaluating HIV/AIDS-related projects and what is needed in way of an improved evaluation strategy and further research. ...
