"This study analyses the census and other material on the ethnic origins and nativities of the Canadian population. The work is largely confined to an examination of the 1941 Census data and follows closely the pattern of an earlier study on this subject by the same author which was one of a series of monographs based largely on the results of the 1931 Census. ... Preceding the detailed analysis in the chapters of this study is a summary of the findings and conclusions. Supplementing the text are a number of summary tables and charts followed by a number of basic tables in Part II"--Pref., p. [3]
