By reporting on regulatory reform and identifying opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the regulatory and decision-making process, it also meets a commitment made in The Federal Government’s Response to the Final Report of the Standing Committee on Natural Resources: Streamlining Environmental Regulation for Mining to prepare a comprehensive progress report on the status of regulatory reform for mining."--Introduction.
