"This document has been prepared as a guide to industry and the public. It describes the process for the authorization and classification of explosives in Canada. The authorization of an explosive is done in accordance with the Explosives Act and Regulations. As per section 8 of the Explosives Regulations, a person may carry out and activity involving explosives only if the explosives have been authorized by the CIE"--Introd., p. 1.
