"The proportion of elderly persons in Canada is increasing, and it is expected that by the year 2031, 20 percent of the population will be age 65+. Given that currently only 9.5 percent of the population is 65+, this increase will have serious physical, social and economic implications. Of primary concern in this paper is the question of housing for the elderly"--Exec. Summary.
