"On December 1, 2016, the Minister of Justice committed to engage provincial and territorial (PT) colleagues, affected communities and medical professionals to examine the criminal justice system’s response to non-disclosure of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). To support that commitment, Justice Canada has studied the issue with the assistance of the Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC), PT counterparts, and with input from various stakeholders.
