"The Framework Agreement was signed on September 22, 1992 and consists of twenty-two (22) articles, seven (7) schedules and three (3) appendices. It outlines in detail the manner in which the parties have agreed to fulfill outstanding Treaty land entitlement obligations in respect of the twenty-six (26) Entitlement Bands in Saskatchewan. This Guidebook is an attempt to give a general overview of the major principles involved and to offer guidelines to the parties responsible for the effective implementation of the terms and conditions of the Agreement. The Guidebook should not be relied upon as a legal interpretation of the Framework Agreement"--Framework Agreement, p. 1.
