"This report was developed to update the European Commission on developments in Canada’s data protection framework, including the private sector privacy law, the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the public sector privacy law, the Privacy Act as well as the legislative framework within Canada that applies to access to personal information by public authorities.
