“This regulatory document is part of the CNSC’s Certification of prescribed equipment series of regulatory documents, which also covers servicing Class II prescribed equipment. This guide is intended to help applicants to prepare and submit applications to the CNSC for certification of radiation devices and Class II prescribed equipment. This document supersedes RD/GD-254, Application Guide: Certification of Radiation Devices or Class II Prescribed Equipment, published in December 2010. Guidance contained in this document exists to inform the applicant, to elaborate further on requirements or to provide direction to licensees and applicants on how to meet requirements. It also provides more information about how CNSC staff evaluate specific problems or data during their review of licence applications”--Preface, p. i.
