"This study reviews the main water use and management issues in the Yukon and Northwest Territories and proposes measures to improve federal water administration in this part of the country. The themes addressed are: the legal and administrative context in the North; northern water uses; water planning and management; the possible impact of aboriginal rights on water management; the jurisdictional and interjurisdictional issues; and finally, the water diversion and export issue as viewed from the North."--Abstract.
