"Increasingly, scholars and correctional staff are considering the function of technology within the criminal justice system (Batastini, McDonald, & Morgan, 2012). Recently, there is interest in how technology can be used in the provision of correctional intervention programs by using teleconference, videoconference, and computerized applications. The goal of the current study was to review the literature to assess the evidence for the effectiveness and viability of using technology-based methods of program delivery with an offender population"--Executive summary, page iii.
