"The purposes of this paper are: to describe the nature of the Telidon invention, its potential for satisfying social and business needs, and the industry structure necessary to exploit this potential; to report progress made in the currently approved Telidon program; to report on the changes in the private sector environment - domestic and foreign - which now bear on the current program, and which create new opportunities and new problems in attaining program objectives; and to analyse means of refocusing the activities of the Telidon program to maximize benefits to Canada"--Object, page 3.
