"Measurements of transverse dispersion were made in two trapezoidal channels having different side slopes and using side injection as well as centre line injection. The dispersion coefficients were obtained from the change of moments and also from a numerical simulation. The dimensionless dispersion coefficients were compared with those for rectangular and triangular channels in an attemptto estimate the effect of cross section shape on the dispersion coefficient"--Abstract.
