"This report is the result of a series of studies undertaken by Infoman Inc. on data security issues arising from office automation. These studies were commissioned by the Security Programs and Operations Division, Department of Communications as an activity parallel to and in support of the Office Communications Systems (OCS) program. The purposes of the studies were to rationalize a major concern in the development of high technology for office automation, and to bring to the attention of the public and private sectors the need to address a potential problem area in the introduction of this technology.
