"This report presents the results of a study undertaken by Vard Marine Inc and Algoma Central Corporation for TC-IC to evaluate the potential fuel efficiency improvement and resulting emissions reductions and cost savings of performing propeller polishing and hull coating renewal for a conventional Great Lakes self-unloading bulk carrier. Two vessels were part of the study. Extensive performance and operational data was collected before and after propeller polishing for the MV Algoma Conveyor, and before and after hull coating renewal for the MV Algoma Mariner"--Abstract, page ii.
