"This regulatory document is part of the CNSC's regulated facilities and activities series of regulatory documents. The full list of regulatory document series is included at the end of this document and can also be found on the CNSC's website. In accordance with the Nuclear Safety and Control Act (NSCA) and regulations made under it, a person must have a licence issued by the CNSC to prepare a site for a Deep Geological Repository (DGR). The CNSC uses a comprehensive licensing system that covers the lifecycle of a DGR.
