"It is well documented that earnings vary considerably by population group (White, Black, Latin American, etc.). One of the possible reasons may be the fact that educational attainment also varies considerably by population group. While earlier research examined the factors behind population group differences in high school completion and postsecondary access, there is a lack of information on the educational pathways of individuals from various population groups who began a postsecondary education program.
