"The Montreal Protocol is an international agreement aimed at reversing the damage done to the stratospheric ozone layer that protects the earth from harmful solar ultraviolet radiation. Canada continues to be a leader on ozone protection among the 162 countries that are now signatories of the Montreal Protocol. In celebration of the achievements of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol, Canada is hosting the Ninth Annual Meeting in Montreal in September 1997"--Preface, page [1].
