"A three-day workshop was held in Moncton, NB from November 21, 2023 – November 23, 2023. The aims of this workshop were to create a space for researchers, stock assessment biologists, and those involved in the assessment of small pelagic fish species to exchange ideas, discuss assessment frameworks, and share knowledge pertaining to the assessment of small pelagics across Canada. This report summarizes the presentations and breakout sessions that identified the major barriers and potential bridges to overcome them in small pelagic stock assessment within Canada"--Abstract.
