Creel census study on Fox, Marsh and Tagish Lakes in the Yukon Territory, 1983 / by A. Horler, M.E. Jarvis and R.A.C. Johnston. : Fs97-4/1803E-PDF

"An angler creel census was conducted on Fox, Marsh and Tagish lakes in the Yukon Territory from May through to September in 1983. Utilizing interview techniques, data was compiled from a total of 1103 anglers to determine catch, effort and angler origin. In all cases, lake trout (Salvelinus namaycush) comprised greater than 55% of the total catch in terms of both numbers and weight. Other species caught included: Arctic grayling (Thymallus arcticus), northern pike (Esox lucius), humpback whitefish (Coregonus clupeaformis) and burbot (Lota iota). Catch per unit effort values are presented for each species by lake. … The limitations of the creel census are discussed and recommendations for further work are given"--Abstract, page vi.
