"On June 21, 2021 and February 10, 2026, the Standing Committee on Rules, Procedures and the Rights of Parliament (RPRD), examined the current framework governing the membership of the Standing Committee on Ethics and Conflict of Interest for Senators (CONF). Specifically, RPRD examined the recommendations made by CONF in its Third Report (2021), entitled Consideration of matters relating to the Ethics and Conflict of Interest Code for Senators (Third Report). After considering the Third Report and hearing testimony from the chair and deputy chair of CONF at the time it was tabled, RPRD recommends that certain amendments be made to the Rules of the Senate of Canada (the Rules)"--Introduction, page 7.
