"This report summarizes 11 literature reviews that look at the association between breast cancer and various lifestyle and environmental risk factors ranging from diet, smoking and alcohol consumption to exposure to electromagnetic fields and organochlorines. Conducted by members of the Canadian Breast Cancer Initiative Working Group on Primary Prevention of Breast Cancer, the reviews also cover emerging hypotheses and methodological approaches, biological mechanisms and evolutionary etiology. The report concludes with the Working Group's recommendations for future research.
