In order to gain a better understanding of the various opportunities and challenges facing Canada’s oil and gas sectors, the House of Commons Standing Committee on Natural Resources conducted a study on the current and future state of oil and gas pipelines and refining capacity across Canada. Over the course of four meetings, the Committee heard from a number of witnesses from government, Aboriginal groups, academia, unions and the private sector. This report concludes the Committee’s study, and brings forward recommendations for consideration by the Government of Canada.
