The non-conventional assessment had four parts that included: 1) a literature review of non-conventional drinking water sources, drinking water quality and a correlation of drinking water with human health, 2) interviews with residents concerning their use of non-conventional drinking water, 3) laboratory analysis of non-conventional drinking water samples and an assessment of compliance with the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality (GCDWQ) and 4) laboratory testing of three point-of-use water filters.--Study perspective
