Cover image

This publication, published by Environment Canada and the Canadian Wildlife Service, contains two studies by Anthony J. Gaston of the Canadian Wildlife Service. These studies investigate the population dynamics of thick-billed murres as an approach to the study of marine ecosystems in Canada's eastern Artic. One study points to an environmental change in 1990; and the other to changes in wintering grounds. The latter study recommends improvements in monitoring. Noted seabird expert W. A. Montevecchi of Memorial University contributed the foreword.
