This report contains statistical information on tuberculosis in Canada. Data are presented by province/territory, sex, age, HIV, method of detection, and immigration status. The report shows national trends in the numbers of cases and the outcomes of treatments, as well as national targets for reducing cases. In 2003, 1,628 new or relapsed cases were reported, with the highest rate in the Northwest Territories, and the lowest in Nova Scotia. Includes tables and figures.
