"This document outlines management approaches for the [...] through [...] Greenland Halibut (a.k.a. turbot) fishery in the Northwest Atlantic Fisheries Organization (NAFO) Subarea 0. (Currently this includes Canadian waters adjacent to Nunavut with the exception of a portion of Cumberland Sound.) These waters are managed by Canada on the basis of the conservation principle and NAFO Scientific Council catch recommendations. The management plan is further guided by provisions of the Nunavut Land Claims Agreement and the Nunavik Inuit Marine Region Agreement-in-Principle for the participation of Inuit in use and management of the offshore fisheries"--Executive summary, 2003/2005, p.1.
