The Canada Health Inforstructure Partnership Program (CHIPP) was launched in 2000 to promote the use of advanced information and communication technologies (ICT) through the support of large scale multi jurisdictional ICT enabled health care delivery applications. CHIPP was preceded by the Health Infostructure Support Program (HISP) which provided funding for pilot testing of innovative and advanced ICT applications in health service delivery.
