"The purpose of this evaluation is to synthesize the results and impacts of Canadian investments in the railway sector in Senegal. The program under evaluation consisted of five projects implemented between 1986 and 1998 at a total disbursement of $38.8 million. The investments complemented and were closely tied to those made at the same time in the same sector in Mali to open up that landlocked country."--Introduction.
