"The Port of Quebec lies on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River in the heart of old Quebec City. Its principal activity is the trans-shipment of bulk products. It covers an area of 188 hectares and comprises three sectors, the easternmost adjoining the tidal flats at Beauport. In 1978, the Port of Quebec Authority announced plans for a 440 hectare development in the Beauport area to meet the needs of prospective customers"--Summary.
