"Since May 2003, the government of Canada has published 15 Pollution Prevention Planning Notices (P2 Notices) requiring the preparation and implementation of pollution prevention plans to reduce releases of toxic substances to the environment. The outcomes of these notices have been evaluated to determine if the risk management objectives were achieved. This report summarizes the overall results based on information received from 10 completed P2 Notices. All together, these notices required 563 facilities across Canada to prepare and implement P2 plans to reduce releases of 21 toxic substances to the environment"--Summary, p. iii.
