"The distribution of zinc in magnesium-zinc solid solution, and the maximum amount of Mg 7 Zn3 compound due to the non-equilibrium freezing of the Mg-6 wt% Zn, were calculated. The calculation was carried out according to Krupkowski's equations which assume complete diffusion in the liquid state and no diffusion in the solid state and take into account the changes of the distribution coefficient during the solidification"--Abstract, page i.
