Pre-season run size forecasts for Fraser River sockeye (Oncorhynchus nerka) and pink (Oncorhynchuss gorbuscha) salmon in 2019 / Mike Hawkshaw, Yi Xu and Brooke Davis.: Fs97-6/3391E-PDF

"Fraser River sockeye and pink stocks have been experiencing productivity lower than the long-term average in recent decades. Forecasts for these stocks are carried out using Bayesian models and presented as probability distributions. These distributions represent the range of survival and productivity the stocks have exhibited historically. Environmental variation, especially warming associated with climate change, are incorporated into the forecast models for nine sockeye stocks, following the approach initiated in the 2018 forecast"--Abstract.
