"The second Business Plan of the National Laboratory for Environmental Testing (NLET) sets out the strategic agenda for the Laboratory for the next five years. The plan uses an assessment of the historical role of the laboratory, and combines that with knowledge of the present needs and future requirements of its Environment Canada clients to establish the framework. The plan describes the role of NLET within the Environmental Conservation Service of Environment Canada, provides a business and financial analysis, specifies the strategic priorities that will be used to guide the laboratory, and establishes a framework to achieve the desired outcomes"--Executive summary, page 3.
