"At the request of the Land Resources section, Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development (DIAND), Whitehorse, the Lands Directorate, Pacific and Yukon Region, Department of the Environment, was asked to provide advice and develop interpretations on "suitability for settlement" for lands in the Whitehorse-Carcross-Jakes Comer region. This background information would assist DIAND in the preparation of land-management policies and plans for the region. This report and accompanying orthophoto maps represent the results of the Lands Directorate's work"--Introduction.
