"This code is an updated version of the 1983 publication on the care and handling of chickens, and has been expanded to include recommendations for the care and handling of turkeys. Each section pertaining to a particular type of poultry (eggs, broilers and roasters, and turkeys) is to be considered as a self-contained entity, to be used by the industry in question.
