The report deals with selected sections of Mississippian strata in western Newfoundland -- specifically St. Georges Bay area. Their study was undertaken to add to the knowledge of Mississippian sedimentation in, and geological history of, the Acadian region of Canada and a fuller understanding of Carboniferous formations.
