« Le texte est le treizième d'une série de projets de loi déposés dans le cadre du Programme de correction des lois (le Programme). Il modifie cinquante-huit lois et trois règlements connexes afin de corriger des erreurs de grammaire, d'orthographe, de terminologie, de ponctuation, de renvois, de mettre à jour une terminologie désuète et de corriger des divergences entre les deux versions linguistiques. Le texte met également à jour la désignation de professionnels ou d'un tribunal. Par exemple, il change le nom de la Commission de révision au Tribunal de révision agricole du Canada pour refléter le nom opérationnel de ce tribunal. D'autres modifications corrigent l'appellation de certains tribunaux provinciaux à la suite de changements organisationnels.
