In March 1998, the Federal Economic Development Agency in Northern Ontario (FedNor) and the Aboriginal Working Group (AWG) undertook a consultation with Aboriginal youth. The initiative took the form of accessing Our Future, a three-day forum which invited over one hundred Aboriginal youth from Northern Ontario to provide their input on the economic development issues they face.
