Report on the application of the Alternative Fuels Act : fiscal year 2001-2002 : BT76-1/2002
This is the annual report of the President of the Treasury Board on the implementation of the requirements of the Alternative Fuels Act. It requires that, where cost-effective, 75 percent of vehicles used by federal government bodies use alternative transportation fuels (ATFs) by 1 April 2004. As part of the seven-year phase-in period, the fiscal year beginning 1 April 2001 required 75 percent of new vehicles use ATFs, where feasible. During that fiscal year, federal government bodies exceeded requirements, as in the four previous years
