Conflict of interest and post-employment code for public office holders : CP22-79/2006

This code contains ethical principles, rules, and obligations for public office holders. The code explains how to avoid conflicts of interest. It covers reporting of assets and liabilities, outside activities, and gifts, hospitality, and other benefits, as well as avoidance of preferential treatment. It also explains requirements related to conflict of interest after leaving the public service. The code’s objective is to enhance public confidence in the integrity of public office holders and the decision-making process in government.
