Spousal violence in custody and access disputes : recommendations for reform / [by] Nicholas M. C. Bala ... [et al.].  : SW21-18/1998E-PDF

Several jurisdictions outside of Canada, including the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and most American states, have developed better legislation and policies to deal with child custody and access disputes in which spousal violence is involved. The purpose of this project is to review the legislation and policies that have been implemented in Canada and compare them with these other jurisdictions. It is hoped that this discussion will be an important part of the process of legislative and institutional reform in Canada.--Page 2
