"This report summarizes the findings of the Standing Senate Committee on Energy, the Environment and Natural Resources study of the subject-matter of certain elements of Part 5 of Bill C-74, An Act to implement certain provisions of the budget tabled in Parliament on 27 February 2018 and other measures. Part 5 of Bill C-74 (The Greenhouse Gas Pollution Pricing Act, or the GGPPA) addresses the federal approach to carbon pricing. It would apply in any Canadian province or territory that asks that it be implemented or that does not have its own carbon pricing system in place that conforms to the federal standard by the end of 2018"--Provided by publisher.
