"The February 18, 1975 signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the Government of Canada and the Province of Saskatchewan covering water quantity surveys ended a period of many years when the surveys were, in part, carried out co-operatively but under terms arranged annually in an ad hoc and informal manner by the local managers for the respective jurisdictions. The Agreement became effective April 1, 1975 and is included as Appendix I. In Saskatchewan, the Agreement is administered for Canada by the Regional Director of the Inland Waters Directorate located at Regina, Saskatchewan and for the Province by the Chief, Water Management Service, located at Regina, Saskatchewan. The Agreement calls for the administrators to appoint a Co-ordinating Committee to plan and review network operations and to prepare new Schedules A and D annually for approval of the Administrators.
