"The National Intellectual Property Strategy (the IP Strategy) was launched in 2018-19. The IP Strategy is an Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada-led (ISED) initiative that includes programs and activities undertaken by Innovation Canada and the Marketplace Framework Policy Branch (of the Strategy and Innovation Policy Sector - SIPS), as well as the Federal Court, Standards Council of Canada, and the Copyright Board of Canada. The IP Strategy's objective is to help Canadian innovators and entrepreneurs better understand, protect, and monetize their IP"--Program Context, page 3.
