"In this report, CanmetENERGY-Ottawa evaluated the reproducibility of the CSA SPE-07:23 (SPE07) test procedure using two centrally ducted cold-climate air-source heat pumps (CC-ASHP). Both CC-ASHPs were 2-ton variable speed systems with communicating thermostats that had previously been field and lab tested for evaluations of representativeness and repeatability. The objective was to produce heating and cooling seasonal COPs (SCOPC and SCOPH) from a complete series of SPE-07 rating tests using the same building load line and equipment installation as that used during previous testing conducted in another laboratory"--Executive Summary, page ii.
