"This bulletin is a preliminary report of Mental and Neurological Institutions in Canada and is the result of a special Census undertaken in connection with the decennial population census of 1931. This was the first special census of mental institutions undertaken by the Dominion Bureau of Statistics and covers all patients resident in Mental Institutions June 1, 1931, as also movement of population, administration, receipts and expenditures for 1930"--P.
