Identity recovery qualitative research project : final report / prepared by Narrative Research.: Rv4-231/2026E-PDF
"Identity theft can have significant financial, practical, and emotional impacts on affected individuals. To address these risks, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) established the Identity Protection Services (IPS) program to identify potential cases of identity theft, verify individuals’ identities, and protect and restore taxpayer accounts. Given the complexity and stress often associated with navigating identity theft, this qualitative study was commissioned to understand clients’ end-to-end experiences with IPS, from initial awareness through resolution, and to identify opportunities to strengthen communications, support, and overall service delivery. Findings are intended to inform evidence-based improvements that enhance clarity, trust, and the client experience"--Executive Summary, page 1.
